Ron Ketchem

Owner

Ron Ketchem grew up on a farm near St. Joseph, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and then masters studies in Reproductive Physiology and Animal Breeding.

Upon graduation, he began working for Kleen Lean, a division of Purina Mills, a genetics company developing AI programs, production training, sales and marketing.

In 1985, Ron moved to Indiana, working for Purina Mills as an Area Swine Consultant with feed dealers, farm consultants and producers providing technical support and training.

In 2000, he moved to Fremont, Nebraska and began working for Swine Management Services, a division of Purina, in charge of training programs and genetic evaluation.

In 2002, Ron and Mark Rix purchased Swine Management Services, LLC where they’ve grown the business over the last 16 years.

Ron is married to his wife Pam and they have three adult sons.
